Our History

Paul Wilson established the firm in Bolton in 1979, setting up on his own after 13 years experience in both private and public sectors. The firm has since relocated to Preston with six partners and a team of professional and support staff.

Simon Mair and the late Andrew Thompson joined Paul as partners in 1993 to form the P Wilson and Company partnership.

In 1995 the partners acquired the professional practice of Tom Goulden, formerly of Wigan-based John Trickett & Sons and, in 1997, that of David Ensor, Chartered Surveyor & Agricultural Valuer, of Preston.

Nicola Vose, previously a Surveyor with North West Water, joined the firm in 1997 and became a partner in 1999. Andrew Coney, with a rural property management background, joined as an associate in 1999 and became a partner in 2002.

The firm became a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)  in 2005.

Robert Harrison joined the firm in 2004. He was later appointed an associate in 2012 and a partner in 2015.

Edward Gammell, who trained with P Wilson and Company from 2005 to 2012, returned to the firm as a partner in 2016.
